If you're interested in a fall book discussion, we'd love to have you join us and talk through certain concepts of developing 'unlikely friendships' toward bringing healing to a broken world, one friendship at a time using the book, 'Friendship at the Margins' (Heuertz/Pohl). Decidedly not a project or a program, but a readjusting of our lenses toward extending compassion and welcome to people in and about our daily lives to create pathways of care. We'll be meeting in the Fireside Room for 6 Wednesdays beginning Sept 15th, 7-8:30pm. Books can be purchased through Amizon.com for $10.20 or you can contact Donna Mathwig to order as a group. Questions welcome! Come on, what's not to like: a little reading + conversation + cookies + good decaf? |

Join us for a journey of exploration, of your heart, your community and your God. Why a pilgrimage? Though God is always with us wherever we are, some places seem to allow us to experience him more fully or more easily. As we walk, we try to look with spiritual eyes and listen with ears attuned to that still small voice. Our pilgrimage gives us time and space to reflect on the journey of our lives and the life of the world. We will journey about 2 miles, beginning with a cup of soup in the Fellowship Hall and ending with tea or coffee and cookies. Dress weather appropriate with strong footwear. For further details or to RSVP, please contact Dave Powell or Jeanne Powell. Fryers with complete details available on Sunday.
Bless to us, O God,
the earth beneath our feet.
Bless to us, O God,
the path whereon we go.
Bless to us, O God,
the people whom we meet. Amen. |
