Parenting for Sexual, Spiritual & Relational Health
A seminar taught by Tina Schermer Sellers, MS LMFT
The seminar continues our commitment as a church to sustain the conversation about "healthy sexuality." For too long the church has been silent or shaming with little opportunity for true dialogue. We have invited Tina Schermer Sellers to facilitate the conversation of how we can help our children grow in wisdom, knowledge and honor as they come to understand God's gifts within sexual, spiritual and relational intimacy.
Tina Schermer Sellers is a recognized scholar in the integration of spirituality into a multitude of areas... represented in family and career life. As a behavioral scientist, licensed family therapist, medical family therapist, and certified sex therapist, she specializes in helping to craft relationships, organizations and lives that flourish. In the area of sexuality, Tina has spent a career helping people discover what culture has failed to teach them about their bodies, their hearts, their capacity for intimacy and their erotic potential. Tina will guide us through topics such as:
- Sexuality across the lifecycle
- Parenting for sexual, spiritual and relational health at each developmental stage
- Identify the areas of challenge and trigger for parents and how to cope & heal
- Time for Q & A and small group discussion
As this is a very loaded, complex issue, we’ll do our best to create a safe, spacious environment to begin the conversation.
